BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 24. Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) has introduced the Blue Spear surface-to-surface missile (SSM) for naval weaponry at the ADEX-2024 international exhibition, Trend reports.
The Blue Spear missile really hits the nail on the head with its remarkable range, stretching up to a whopping 290 kilometers. It showcases cutting-edge tech prowess, featuring a groundbreaking radio frequency seeker that really hits the nail on the head. It can hold its own against both physical blows and the electronic smoke screens thrown up by foes.
Not only that, but the missile system can acquire real-time information through ISTAR channels, which stands for intelligence, surveillance, target acquisition, and reconnaissance. This lets it make course modifications when it needs to.
To note, the 5th Anniversary Azerbaijan International Defense
Exhibition "ADEX" - the biggest fish in the pond when it comes to
the defense industry in the region - is set to take place from
September 24-26 at the Baku Expo Center. At the same time, the 14th
Exhibition for International Security, Safety, and Rescue
Equipment, “Securex Caspian,” is set to take shape.
The inaugural ADEX exhibition took place back in 2014. Even though
the biennial exhibition is blowing out five candles this year, it
has been in the game for a decade, steadily widening its net of
exhibitors and the fields it touches with each passing year.
The exhibition has gathered a cornucopia of companies from over 50
countries, with around 200 official delegations making their mark
during its decade of fruitful endeavors. Over the years, the
exhibition has welcomed more than 30,000 guests, proving to be a
real crowd-pleaser.
