BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 3. A few hours ago, New Caledonia-based Kanaky's political prisoners' support collective (an overseas collectivity of France), sent a special letter to the Baku Initiative Group, Executive Director of the Baku Initiative Group Abbas Abbasov told reporters, Trend reports.
"The families of the arrested express their heartfelt gratitude for the support provided by our organization. I want to emphasize that our activities are highly valued by both former and current colonies. As you know, we began cooperation with former colonies 1-2 months ago. We primarily work closely with regions currently suffering from colonial policies, meaning they are still colonies," he stated.
The international conference on the policy of French neocolonialism in Africa, organized by the Baku Initiative Group, started its work on October 3.
The conference is attended by representatives of African countries (Senegal, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Guinea-Bissau, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Mauritania, Zimbabwe, and Niger), as well as France and the French enslaved island of Mayotte.
