BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 9. Colonel General Zakir Hasanov, Azerbaijani Minister of Defense, has sent sympathies to his Kazakh counterpart Ruslan Zhaksylykov on the Mi-8 military helicopter crash during training flights, Trend reports via the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan.
"I am deeply saddened by the news of the helicopter crash that occurred in the Aktobe region of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as a result of which one crew member was killed and others were injured. May the Almighty grant peace to the soul of the deceased, and I share in the grief of his close relatives, offering my sincere condolences to his family. I wish a speedy recovery to the injured. May Allah repose their souls," the condolence letter said.
To note, on November 9, a Mi-8 helicopter from Kazakhstan's Ministry of Defense made a hard landing near the village of Saryzhar in the Aktobe region during a training exercise.
The helicopter, managed by the Military Institute of the Air Defense Forces, was transporting three crew members during the incident. Two crew members incurred injuries and were swiftly conveyed to the hospital for medical care, while one crew member died.
