BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 18. A delegation headed by the Chairperson of the Council of the National Assembly of Belarus, Natalia Kochanova, who is on an official visit to Azerbaijan, visited the tomb of the great leader Heydar Aliyev at the Alley of Honor, Trend reports.
First, the bright memory of the national leader of our people, Heydar Aliyev, was respectfully honored, and a wreath was laid at his tomb.
Then, the memory of the outstanding ophthalmologist, academician Zarifa Aliyeva, was honored, and flowers were laid at her tomb.
The Belarusian delegation also visited the Alley of Martyrs. The tombs of the heroic sons and daughters of the homeland, who perished in the struggle for the independence and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, were visited, flowers laid at their graves, and also a wreath was laid at the "Eternal Flame" memorial.
To note, Kochanova will hold a series of meetings as part of her official visit to our country and will also participate in the 15th plenary session of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly.
