BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 20. Amendments have been made to the "Regulation of the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Azerbaijan," Trend reports.
President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has signed a decree in this regard.
According to the new regulations, additional powers have been granted to the Minister of Youth and Sports.
Hence, the minister, responsible for managing funds allocated from both the state budget and extra-budgetary sources, shall oversee the distribution of financial resources and ensure the provision of salary supplements, material assistance, and bonuses for ministry staff while adhering to the limits of allocated funds. Additionally, the minister makes proposals regarding the formation of the state and extra-budgetary funds for the relevant year, based on the ministry's areas of activity.
The Ministry's Board is authorized to adopt various normative legal acts through decisions, including:
- Acts regulating relations between the Ministry and other entities (organizations);
- Acts entrusted to the Ministry by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan or the Cabinet of Ministers;
- Unified (joint) acts regulating the activities of multiple state bodies;
- Acts requiring coordination with relevant state authorities;
- Acts as outlined in subparagraph 14.2 of this Regulation, brought forward by the Board at the Minister’s initiative;
- Acts pertaining to the cancellation or amendment of legal acts adopted by the Board in accordance with this Regulation.
