There is not armed opposition in the country, Ali Karimli, the chairman of the Popular Front of Azerbaijan (reformers), told Trend. It was a comment to the statement of Vilayat Eyvazov, the representative of the Internal Affairs Ministry.

According to Karimli, the statement of the ministry representative at the event of the GUAM in Baku on 25 July is groundless. “If there is an armed opposition in Azerbaijan, what the law enforcements bodies do? It is complete imagination. It is impossible.

Our prop is people and we rest upon it. We fight against government without arm, but with carnation in arm. The parties of the Azadlig block run for parliamentary elections resting upon the people,” he underlined.
