SHAHLAR ASKEROV: PARLIAMENT OF AZERBAIJAN OF CURRENT CALLING HARDLY TO PASS LAW ON EDUCATION

The Azerbaijan’s Parliament (Milli Mejlis) of the current calling will hardly pass a law on education, chairman of the Milli Mejlis (MM) commission on science and education Shahlar Askerov stated on 5 August at the briefing with journalists, Trend reports.

According to Askerov, the bill has already been approved by the commission, headed by him, and submitted to the MM leadership for consideration, however, deputies “will be hardly able to discuss it, due to involvement in active pre-election racing”.

В"The law may be considered only in one case: if the country’s President Ilham Aliev will be engaged in it personally”, the commission’s chairman noted, stressing, that Parliamentarians will gather only for the 2006 budget approval”

В"It looks as if the draft law will be considered by the new Parliament”, Askerov noted in conclusion.
