ELECTORAL LIST PLACED ON WEB-SITE

The �Elections’ information center under the Central Election Committee (CEC) placed electoral list on web-site, Igbal Babayev, the chairman of the center, told Trend.

Everybody can get familiar with the data on constituencies, their addresses, electoral list on constituencies and election districts on www.infocenter.gov.az from Thursday. There is also information about routes leading to the election districts and the candidates balloting in the parliamentary elections.

According to Babayev, Azerbaijan is the first CIS country developed information base and placed it on web-site. The system also helps electors to find their names on the elector list, determine election district and its address. The base includes data on 4993 election districts and 4553164 names of voters.

The definition of the elector list is underway. The citizens, who could not find their names on the list, may address to court during 35 days before the elections and solve the problem.

Vidadi Mahmudov, the secretary of the CEC, stressed that placement of the elector list on web-site was very important in the view of data-ware and public control. He added that the citizens, who could not find their names on the list, may phone the CEC on hot line and solve their problems.
