UKRAINIAN CITIZENS ARRESTED IN BAKU DEPORTED

Sergey Yevtushenko, an adviser of the Ukrainian foreign Ministry, also an activist of the Ukrainian organization PORA, was released and deported to Ukraine on 17 September, Igor Kizima, the charge d’affaires of Ukraine in Azerbaijan told Trend.

The diplomat attributed the actions as in competency of definite bodies of Azerbaijan, particular the border service. The documents on the arrest and deportation are still to be produced. The embassy was not informed either on his arrest, or his deportation.

“We appealed to the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry with request to assist in this problem, as the international conventions, in particular, the Vienna Convention and Consulate convention on legal assistance between the two countries were violated,” he underlined. “We have good base on consular issues on legal assistance, so we can resolve all question easily,” he stressed.

“the human rights were violated and we ought to defend the rights of every citizens of Ukraine, which are in the territory of Azerbaijan irrespective of their political views and posts.
