President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev sent a message to the participants of the international conference “The Role of the UNO rival policy in achieving the millennium goals development in the states with the transitional economy”.
The report notes, that poverty is one of the global problems, facing the mankind and Azerbaijan, as well as in other countries with the transitional economy necessary efforts are applied aimed at increasing the life standard and decrease the poverty level.
The systematic work on accelerating the social and economic development is carried out.
The official Baku joined the Millenium Development Goals approved in 2000 at the UNO Summit in New York.
