AZERI DIPLOMATS OFF TO ASTANA
On Friday the Azerbaijani delegation headed by Mahmud Mammadguliyev, the Azerbaijani Deputy Foreign Minister, left for Astana, Kazakhstan, to participate in the 15th session of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) Council of Foreign Ministers,Trend reports.
The agenda of the gathering includes issues on Trade agreement of the organization, appointment of coordinator-countries for the implementation of important projects in the region ECO region, reconsideration of the organization body of the ECO Secretariat, the improvement of mechanism on employment and rotation. The meeting will also hold discussion and adopt appropriate documents.
The 9th Summit of the ECO, which unites 10 countries вЂ" Turkey, Iran, Pakistan, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Afghanistan, and the 16th session of the Council of Ministers will be held in Baku in 2006.
