“Energy import from Turkey to Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic (NAR) will be restored shortly,” Etibar Pirverdiyev, the head of Azerenerji JSC, told Trend.
According to Pirverdiyev, a break in the transmission lines in connection with the bad weather conditions three days ago resulted in the cessation of energy import from Turkey to Nakhchivan. “It will not have serious impact on Nakhchivan, as the major energy supplier is Iran,” Pirverdiyev underlined.
The noted that all necessary work for removal of the result of the break and restoration of the energy supply from Turkey to Nakhchivan was underway.
In January to September 829,655 million KW energy was delivered to Nakhchivan AR, which is in blockade. In this period Nakhchivan imported 452,124 million KW from Iran, 301,722 million KW вЂ" from Turkey.
