Issue of appointment of Ukrainian Ambassador to Azerbaijan remains open
The issue of appointment of the Ukrainian Ambassador to Azerbaijan is still open, the charge dвЂ™affaires of Ukraine in Azerbaijan Igor Kezima told Trend exclusively.
Kezima reported also, that the issue is under consideration currently by the leadership of Ukraine. В"It will be known only after signing the respective decree by the Ukrainian President Yuschenko, the diplomat stressed. It is not ruled out, that the Ambassador will be appointed prior to the upcoming official visit of the Ukrainian President to Azerbaijan in late November.
The former Ambassador Anatoly Yurchenko was recalled from the post on 2 August and left the country. Yurchenko is not a career diplomat. Azerbaijan was the first country for him to work as Ambassador since November 2004.
Thereafter the diplomatic mission of Ukraine in Azerbaijan has been heading the charge dвЂ™affaires of Ukraine in the country Igor Kezima.
