Joint conference of law-enforcement bodies & students held

On 22 November conference �Youth say �no’ to drugs’ was held at Baku Technical College. The event on prevention of drug addiction among teenagers and the youth was held with participation of, Ismayil Aliyev the head of the Working Group of the State Commission on Struggle with Drug Addiction And Drug Traffic, Ismayil Khidirov, the Deputy Prosecutor of the Nizamy district, Nizamy Asgarov, the deputy chief of the Nizamy region Police Department, Mais Talibov, the head of the Legal Division of the Nizamy district Executive Power, Husseyn Husseynov, the judge of the Nizamy district, Trend reports.

In their remarks, the participants of the event noted as a result of opening of
the Azerbaijani borders drug addiction considerably spread in the country. It particularly took roots among teenagers and the youth.

Nizamy Asgarov stressed growth of drug addiction and drug traffic all over the country. “The law-enforcement bodies revealed 108 facts related to drug and arrested 112 people over the last 3 months. 11 kg of drugs was seized over this period. The part of the recorded crimes was committed under drug effect,” he underlined.

The representatives of the law-enforcement bodies called on the students to assist them in prevention of drug addiction. “Every citizen must be active in struggle with drug addiction,” Israfil Aliyev said.
