“Isgandar Hamidov the chairman of the Azerbaijan National Democratic Party] must answer for use of the name of the Azerbaijan Liberal Democratic Party (ALDP),” Fuad Aliyev, the chairman of the ALDP, told Trend.
On Friday Hamidov made a decision to hold a rally on 11 December. The decision reflects the consent of the ALDP to holding of the rally.
Aliyev said that once Ali Karimov, the chairman of the Popular Front of Azerbaijan party (PFAP-reformers), cited the name of the ALDP in the rallies. Now Hamidov took the baton. “The party led by me did not participate in the actions organized by Hamidov and would not participate hence. He is to answer for the attempt to use the name of the party and establish confrontation between the parties,” Aliyev underlined.
