230 medals were gained by Azerbaijani sportsmen at the international competitions in 2005.
“It is a record figure. In 2004 the figure was equal to 191, while sportsmen managed to increase it in the current season. It is eventually progress,” Abulfaz Garayev, the Youth, Sports and Tourism Minister, told Trend.
