There is no Azerbaijani pilgrim among the victims of the building collapse in Mecca, Akif Agayev, the head of the press service of the Caucasus Moslem Board (CMB), told Trend quoting Sheikhulislam Hadji Allahshukhur Pashazade, the chairman of CMB, who pilgrimages to Saudi Arabia with other pilgrims.
According to Agayev, all Azerbaijanis going on pilgrimage through CMB are alive and in good health, they continue to perform rites. All pilgrims are in Mecca and most of them have committed small pilgrimage (Umra), visited holy places and now wait for big pilgrimage (Hajj).
It should be mentioned that 4-story hotel, where pilgrims stayed, collapsed on Thursday. There are died and injured people as a result of the collapse.
