The chairman of the Umid party, the Milli Mejlis deputy Igbal Agazade met on12 January with the head of the Baku office of the Council of Europe (CE) Matz Lindberg, the Umid party told Trend.
The post-election situation in the country, the Nagorno-Karabakh problem, expansion of relations with the Council of Europe and other issues were discussed at the meeting.
Unlike other oppositionists, at the meeting Agazade voiced his position of continuation of the Azerbaijani delegation activities at CE.
Lindberg in his turn voiced confidence in continuation of cooperation of CE with Azerbaijan.
