Azerenerji JSC works on development of the effective management of the joint stock companies Ganjaelectrikshebeke and Alibayramlyelectricshebeke, improvement of energy supply of towns and regions, collection of energy charges in relation to the Presidents decree on liquidation of Bayvas rights to manage these companies and their assignation to Azerenerji, Trend reports referring to the press release spread by Azerenerji.
According to Marlen Asgarov, the vice-President of the Company, they will first establish the department on distribution networks regulating legal and financial issues related to the admission of Bayvas authorities on management of Ganjaelectrikshebeke and Alibayramlyelectricshebeke, which refused from its rights due to incapability of effective management and fulfillment of the contract commitments, particularly, charges collection for energy and investment in modernization of energy economy.
The new department is supposed to coordinate and control the work of the networks, keep books and plan repair, but according to Asgarov, the functions and the authorities of the department have not determined yet. The government and appropriate Ministries are currently unifying the issue.
Asgarov said that the similar situation was observed with the Barmek Azerbaijan, the operator of the energy distribution networks of Baku and Sumgayit. The Company violates the contract commitments. The company is not able to pay proper sum for energy purchased from Azerenerji. There are also serious violations on other items of the contract, he added.
