All crimes of 2005 related to kidnapping and bigandage were disclosed, Ramil Usubov, the Internal Affairs Minister, said to a meeting on the results of 2005 on Monday, Trend reports.
According to Usubov, there is progress in revealing of crimes, particularly, murders, as compared 2004. Over this period 17,243 crimes were recorded. 206 disclosed crimes fell to 100,000 people that is one of the best figures in CIS, the Minister stressed.
Usubov noted that number of wilful murder in the country reduced by 4.5%, brigandage - 3.5%, blackmail with use of threats - 21.3%. Besides, facts of beating, robbery, human and drug traffic grew. Over this period law-enforcement bodies revealed 92.3% of crimes.
The police seized 13,336 guns and around 143,000 cartridges. In 2005 the level of the crimes committed by gun dropped by 5.9%. This figure in the public places, including, streets, decreased by 5%, Usubov stated.
On the fact of human traffic 159 crimes were registered and 153 people were made answerable. 13 criminal groups involved in this crime were disclosed, 231 victims were revealed.
