Colonel-general Kamaladdin Heydarov, the Azerbaijani Emergency Minister, held a meeting with the staff of the Ministry, the press service of the Ministry told Trend.
Heydarov stressed that the Ministry is the body ensuring defense of the population from disasters, technogen catastrophes and fires, as well as liquidation of consequences of similiar occurs. The Ministry also is charged in pursuing of the state policy in civil defense, provision of coordination of the central and local power, as well as enterprises and organizations on rescue and restoration work.
The Minister recommended the employees of the Ministry to approach the issue more seriously for safety of the society. The Emergency Ministry is due to become place of hope for the population, Heydarov stressed.
The Minister also visited the civil defense regiment in Belajary, where solemn ceremony was held on Novruz holiday. The Ministert congtarulated staff of the regiment and wished succceses in fulfillment of duties.
