The Migration Service, established under the Azerbaijani Internal Affairs Ministry in 2005, will start full function from May, Trend reports referring to Shovgi Hadiyev, the head of the Service.
According to Hajiyev, the reason for the delay is related to building. A new building is constructed in the Binagadi district, near the monument of Ayna Sultanova. The solemn opening of the building will be held after completion of the construction in May, Hadiyev stressed.
Ramil Usubov, the Minister of Internal Affairs, is also expected to participate in the event.
It should be mentioned that Shovgi Hadiyev, the deputy head of the Central Bureau of the Interpol Azerbaijan, was appointed the head of the Migration Service at the order by the Minister.
The body will control activities of foreigners in Azerbaijan, deportation of foreign within the law on revealing of illegal facts in their activities.
