Tax benefits might be introduced at the state level to develop certain sectors of economy and attract foreign investments to Azerbaijan, head of the Tax Ministry Chief Department on tax policy and strategic studies, Akif Musayev said.
The president of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev has earlier said at the opening of the sugar factory in Imishli, about the creation of the beneficial taxation system to attract the foreign investments.
Absence in the taxation divisions for local and foreign businessmen is one of the stimulating factors in the taxation system of the country, Musayev said. They all
have equal rights. On the other hand foreign investors first of all interested in the stable tax policies.
Azerbaijan does have a really stable taxation policy, i.e. list of taxes is not changing, and their rates always decrease but never increase. This is a good factor stimulating arrival of foreign investors to Azerbaijan, he said.
Another important factor is possibility to repatriate abroad finances earned in the country, without any obstacles on the part of taxation policies.
There are also a number of benefits for investors in agriculture sectors, who are obliged to pay only soil tax. More benefits are introduced this year to boost investments.
