The World Congress of Jews will be held in Baku late this May, Trend reports citing Artur Lenk, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Israel to Azerbaijan, as saying to journalists.

According to Lenk, Azerbaijan has been always differed for tolerance shown towards the representatives of different nations and religions in Azerbaijan, including Jews. It is absolutely normal that Jews gather in Baku with such level of tolerance to hold an international event, the diplomat stressed.

Lenk did not rule out that the congress might be held on 17 May 2006, while the exact date of the event is still to be defined by early May.
