The observers from Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) are to conduct monitoring of election process in 8 electoral districts in Azerbaijan, told to reporters the Leo Platvoet, the Head of Observation Mission of PACE,Trend reported with a reference to ATV channel.
В"On 13 May 2006 18 persons from PACE will observe the elections process and at the same time, the representatives of non-government organizations and advocates, said Platvoet.
В"I think we will have full imagination about the situation as a result of observation. We will study the process of voting not the result of it,В" he said. Platvoet also noted positive changes in election practice of Azerbaijan.
В"The progress is obvious. Particularly, the letter of Central Election Committee requesting technical support in injecting changes to the Election Code of Azerbaijan should be noted, concluded Platvoet.
