Azerbaijan and Tadjikistan signed agreement on cooperation in military sphere
The Defense Ministers of Azerbaijan and Tadjikistan Safar Abiyev and Sherali Kheyrullayev signed an agreement on the cooperation in the military sphere in Baku on June 1, Trendreports.
The agreement is permanent and covers large issues of the interaction of the two countries in the military sphere. According to Azeri defense minister Safar Abiyev, the final meeting of the Azeri and Tadjikistan presidents in December 2005 provided further support to the development of the cooperation of the two countries. I am sure that the new agreement will provide new support to the development of Azerbaijan and Tadjikistan military cooperation, told Abiyev.
Besides, Abiyev stressed that the signing of this agreement was not final one, and in the near future, new documents on the interaction of Azerbaijan and Tadjikistan were planned to be signed.
