Program of Bucharest summit of Black Sea Forum for dialogue and partnership publicized

A program of the Black Sea Forum for Dialogue and Partnership Summit, to be held in Bucharest on 4-6 June 2006 has been publicized. The participants are expected to arrive on Sunday (4 June). The same day at 20.00pm [local time], Mihai-RДѓzvan Ungureanu, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Romania, will give a summer in the honor of guests at Marriott Grand Hotel.

On Monday (5 June) at 08.50am [local time] official opening of the Black Sea Forum for Dialogue and Partnership Summit will be held at Al. Ioan Cuza Hall, Palace of Parliament.

A session on The Black Sea Region in the European and global context to be held from 9:00-11:00am will take papers from Serghei Ordzhonikidze, UN director Geneva, on behalf of Kofi Annan, Terry DAVIS, secretary general, CoE, Marc Perrin de Brichambaut, secretary general, OSCE, Robert Simmons, deputy assistant secretary general, NATO, Marek Belka, executive secretary, UN Economic Commission for Europe, Peter Semneby, on behalf of Javier Solana, EU High Representative for CFSP, Erhard Busek, Special Coordinator for Stability Pact in South Eastern Europe, Antanas Valionis, minister of foreign affairs, Lithuania, H.E. Norbert BAAS, special representative for Russia, Caucasus and Central Asia, Federal Ministry of Foreig Affairs, Germany, Pablo Zaldivar, special envoy of Moratinos, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Spain, Rafal Wisniewski, undersecretary of state, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Poland.

Session on The Black Sea Forum: new ideas, new commitments, new instruments to last from 11.30 to 13.00am will hear reports by Traian Basescu, President of Romania, Robert Kocharian, President of Armenia, Ilham Aliyev, President of Azerbaijan, Mikhail Saakashvili, President of Georgia, Vladimir Voronin, President of Republic of Moldova, Viktor Iushcenko, President of Ukraine, Ivailo Kalfin, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bulgaria, as well as speakers from Greece, Russia, and Turkey.

Then there will be held a signing of the Joint Declaration of the Black Sea Forum for Dialogue and Partnership.

Family photo taking is scheduled for 13:00, a news conference from 13:10 to 13:40.

Lunch offered by H.E. Traian BДѓsescu, President of Romania, will last from 14:00 to 15:30 at Cotroceni Palace. Four workshops will be held in the second half of the day from 15:00 to 18:30.

First Workshop is titled The architecture of cooperation: shaping a common vision and setting a common agenda for the Black Sea region second workshop - Good governance strategic investments in a better common future, third workshop - Sustainable development energy, trade and environment, fourth workshop:- Crisis management: prevention, response, readiness and recovery.

At 20:00 Mihai-RДѓzvan Ungureanu, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Romania Reception will host a reception.

On Tuesday (6 June) the participants in the forum will leave Bucharest.
