Postponed EU-Azerbaijan consultations to hold by mid-June

Postponed EU-Azerbaijan consultations on Action Plan under European Neighborhood Policy (ENP) may be held by mid-June, Trend reports quoting Arif Mamedov, Azeri Ambassador to Benilux and the EU.

Mamedov said the next tour of these consultations should have been held May 15 in Baku but was delayed upon the EU request. The Action Plan scheduled for 5 years will be discussed in Baku.

EU Mission at the talks is headed by Hughes Mingarelli, director of relations with Central and Eastern Europe. Azeri delegation, in turn, is headed by Mahmud Mamedkuliyev, deputy Foreign minister.

The draft was first time discussed in December in Baku and then march 7 in Brussels.
