The Georgian and USA presidents will discuss the energy security of the region at the meeting in Washington on July 5, Metyu Braze, the deputy assistant of the USA state secretary, told journalists on June 20 in Tbilisi, Trend reports with reference to Novosti-Georgia.
One of the key questions that will be discussed at the meeting of presidents will be the energy security of the region. Azerbaijan is one of the worlds biggest oil and gas supplier. Azerbaijan provides not only Turkey and Georgia with gas, but Greece and Italy, and the opportunity of delivery of Azerbaijans gas to Ukraine is not excluded, told Braze.
According to him, discussions will also be held on the cooperation in the sphere of security and fight with terrorism.
One of the key topics of the meeting will be dedicated to the political and peaceful solution of conflicts existing in the Georgian territory. The conflicts should be resolved politically and peacefully, especially within the territory recognized by the international community, emphasized Braze.
