The number of voters participating in the voting of municipal elections this year is 800 thousand persons, Igbal Babayev, the director of Information center of Elections of Central Election Commission (CEC) told Trend. According to him, the number of voters in the country is about 4 mln 500 thousand persons.
Babayev noted that up to municipal elections, a more precise definition will be held in the election list. According to him, the present lists were submitted to the election commission. 65 days up to the elections, the election districts will define the list of voters. 35 days up to the elections, the second list will be defined. Then a more precise definition will be held in lists between 65 and 35 days. And 35 days up to the elections a new list will be defined in the final variant. The results of the list will be disseminated in all poling stations, told Babayev noting that the lists will be placed on internet site of CEC.
On October, 2006, repeat, additional and new elections will be held in 83 districts in 604 municipalities.
