President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has signed an order dismissing the Baku city Transport Department and passing its enterprises to the Ministry of Transport of Azerbaijan.
Trend reports, the decree states that in accordance with the Decree of President of Azerbaijan Republic dated June 10, 2003 #880 В"Statement of Ministry of TransportВ", the Ministry of Transport of Azerbaijan Republic is the central authority of executive power, which leads the uniform governmental policy in the sphere of road and transport complex, and in a view of avoiding parallelism in organization and regulation of passengers transportation in Baku, modernization of control system and further increase of effectiveness of reforms in this sphere, it is ordered:
To dismiss Transport Department with Baku city Executive Power and pass its powers and subject enterprises with their property to the Ministry of Transport of Azerbaijan.
The Cabinet of Ministers is assigned to solve all questions arising from this order.
