Third round of EU-Azerbaijan talks under European Neighborhood Policy due in Baku

The third round of talks between the European Union and Azerbaijan under the Action Plan of the European Neighborhood Policy (EPS) will be held in Baku on 17-18 July, Arif Mammadov, the Azerbaijani Ambassador to Benelux country and EU, told Trend.

The EU mission in the talks will be led by the European Commissions Deputy General Director for Foreign Relationships, Fokion Fotiadis. Mahmud Mammadguliyev, the Deputy Foreign Minister, will represent Azerbaijan in the talks.

The draft document was first discussed in Baku in December, while the second round of talks were geld in Brussels on 7 March. The next round of consultations should be held in Baku on 15 May, while later was postponed.

The coordination of the documents should be done by November meeting of the EU-Azerbaijan Council on cooperation.
