Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev stated to a meeting with the heads of the diplomatic missions of Azerbaijan active in foreign countries on 14 August that Azerbaijan will never allow the establishment of an Armenian state in its territory, Trend reports.

The President underlined that this position by Azerbaijan is unilateral and cannot be a topic of discussions. The issue can be resolved by stages within the framework of the Paris process. Azerbaijani territory should be liberated, refugees and internally displaced people should be returned to their native lands, including the Nagorno-Karabakh, and after it will be possible to discuss the status of Nagorno-Karabakh. The status must be resolved within the framework of international law and successful models exiting worldwide, the Azerbaijani leader underscored.

Alyec said that during the peaceable talks the Armenian side uses different fictions, which are too far from reality. The reality is based on the international rule of law. The international law requires the rehabilitation of the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan. Nagorno-Karabakh is an integral part of Azerbaijan. Azerbaijan was admitted to the UN with the Nagorno-Karabakh in its composition. All countries, including the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairing countries, have recognized the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.

The President noted that the weak legal position of Armenians. Recalling Armenias demand on ensuring the right of Karabakh Armenians for self-definition, the head of state underlined that by the same way the Armenians residing in other countries also have a right for self-definition: Doesnt it mean that they should be granted with a right of self-definition in the United States, France, Krasnodar Province of Russia, or Georgia? How many states will they establish throughout the world. It is impossible. Then why should Azerbaijan be exclusion? Why should the second Armenian state be established in the territory of Azerbaijan, the President inquired.
