Azerbaijan could keep a high spiritual and moral level, famous Kyrgyz writer and public activist Chingiz Aytmatov exclusively told Trend within his participation at 1st International Festival of Russian Book being held in Azerbaijan.
I am happy that I am in Azerbaijan now, and that I have a possibility to participate at this books festival, told the writer. According to him, Baku`s hosting such a large-scale festival is evidence of the high cultural level of the Azerbaijani culture. I wish such an event were turned to a tradition here. Such a festival should be held at least one time a two-three years, considers Mr. Aytmatov.
