The Executive Power of Baku City didn't give consent to the Azerbaijan National Independence Party (ANIP) to hold a picket in front of the French Embassy in Azerbaijan on October 20, Trend reports with reference to the ANIP.

ANIP made a decision to hold an action to protest against French Parliament's adopting the law penalizing the denial of so-called Armenian genocide. For this purpose, an appeal had been sent to Baku City Executive Power, but on October 19, Baku Executive Power came out against the action and considered the picket as inexpedient. Baku mayor offered to express dissatisfaction in a more civil manner and remembered the protest-statement of the Azerbaijani Parliament.

It was stated from ANIP that the activists of the party will hold the action tomorrow October 20 at 13:00, and will get together in front of the French Embassy in Baku.
