Head of Azeri Supreme Court to Meet with European Colleagues

The Chairman of the Supreme Court of Azerbaijan, Ramiz Rzayev, will participate at the meeting of Heads of the Supreme Courts of approximately 40 European countries scheduled for 26-27 October in Paris. R.Rzayev has already left for France and will stay there for ten days, Trend reports with reference to the press service of the Supreme Court of Azerbaijan.

Organized jointly by the Council of Europe and Cassation Court of France, the conference will be dedicated to the topic Access to Supreme Court tendencies and prospects. During the conference, the representatives of the Council of Europe member-countries may exchange experiences and discuss recent achievements regarding, not only the activities of the Supreme Courts, but also of how work is achieved and its satisfactory results.

The French Minister of Justice Paskal Kleman will give a speech at the opening of the conference. Within the conference, a series of events will be held dedicated to the topics of how the Supreme Courts may use the new information technology, how the mechanism of the legal support functioning at the level of supreme courts helps, the submission of groundless applications, etc.

On 26 October, the Head of the Directorate General of the Council of Europe for Legal Issues, Gi de Vel will, in the presence of jury members, present the Crystal Weight of Justice European Award on the pioneering activities in upgrading the civil legal proceedings in the European Courts.
