The members of the Central Election Commission of Azerbaijan (CEC) appoints new members for reformation of the district election commissions of Davachi-Siyazan election district No. 54, composition of which was cancelled, CEC Secretary Natig Mammadov told Trend.
The CEC considered the results of the October 6 municipal elections, in 21 polling stations of 6 election districts, invalid. The composition of the election commissions was annulled in Davachi-Siyazan election district No. 54 and in polling station No. 151 of Azizbeyov election district No. 11.
Natig Mammadov stressed that according to the Electoral Legislation, the high election commission forms the sub commissions. Therefore, the CEC appoints the composition of the district election commissions and district election commissions forms the composition of divisional election commissions. According to Mammamdov, presently the members of the CEC are appointing the new members to form the district election commission No. 54. The new composition of this district election commission will be confirmed in the meeting of the CEC.
The CEC Secretary underlined that in relation with the period of the repeat elections, the commissions will be reformed soon.
