Azerbaijan and the European Union (EU) are interested in the development of energy co-operation until the level of strategic partnership. This view was voiced at the recent meeting of the EU-Azerbaijan Co-operation Committee in Brussels, Trend reports with reference to the Press Service of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry.
The meeting was held under the Chairmanship of the Deputy Secretary-General of the European Commission for Foreign Relations, Fokion Fotiadis, and Azerbaijani Deputy Foreign Minister, Mahmud Mammadguliyev. The meeting focused on the prospects of the co-operation, as well as other issues linked with the forthcoming adoption of the Action Plan.
In addition, the parties held consultations on the strengthening of the co-operation with regards to transport and energy.
