Jordanian Prime Minister Begins Visit to Azerbaijan

Marouf Bakhit, the Jordanian Prime Minister, began his official visit to Azerbaijan on 6 November 2006, Trend reports.

A delegation comprised of several Ministers and around 20 businessmen that accompany the Prime Minister in this visit. The key objective of the visit to consolidate the bilateral relationships between Azerbaijan and Jordan, as well as discuss the implementation of agreements achieved during the official visit of king of Jordan Abdullah II to Azerbaijan on 22-23 August 2006.

The program of the first day of the visit includes a tribute at the Ex-President Heydar Aliyev's memorial and the Cemetery of Martyrs, a meeting with the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, familiarity with Old City. On 7 November the Jordanian Prime Minister and his delegation will participate in a business forum, exhibition of Jordanian goods, visit the Sangachal Terminal and have a meeting with Azerbaijani Prime Minister, Artur Rasizade.
