Nazim Ibrahimov, the Chairman of the State Committee on Work with Azerbaijanis Residing Abroad, who is currently on a visit to the United States, informed Trendthat Azerbaijani diaspora organizations will be established in all states of the United States.
Ibrahimov left for the United States to attend the 27th Conference of the Assembly of Associations of U.S. Turks held from 9 - 11 November. After the conference he met with representatives of the Azerbaijani Diaspora in the United States.
Azerbaijanis should have their diaspora organizations in every state of the United States. We accept with pleasure all proposals in this respect and offer them assistance. We made this decision during the meetings with the representatives of the Azerbaijani Diaspora in Washington. Perhaps, it will be realized next year, Ibrahimov stressed.
He also noted that the State Commission should not establish organizations for Azerbaijanis residing abroad, but the Diaspora itself should be involved in it with the support of the State bodies. The State Committee has always supported Azerbaijani activities abroad and will continue to do so, Ibrahimov assured.
A new Society of Azerbaijanis in Florida was established during Ibrahimov's stay in the United States.
