On the evening of 21 November, the remaining part of the military armaments and the armed headquarters of the Group of Russian Troops in Caucasus (GRTC) was withdrawn from Tbilisi. The transport carrying the Russian military armaments was accompanied by the Georgian military police.
The armaments were loaded to the echelon in Vaziani settlement and sent to Akhalkalaki on the morning of 21 November, Trend Special Correspondent in Tbilisi reports. The Russians began to withdraw the remaining part of the GRTC arms from Tbilisi a week ago. The final part should be withdrawn on 23 November. However, due to the fact that on this day, Georgia marks the holiday Holy Grigori and 3rd anniversary of Rose revolution, the withdrawal of the equipment took place earlier.
According to the decision of the Georgian Defense Ministry, an operating team, comprising of 13 persons, will remain in Tbilisi until the full withdrawal of the Russian Troops.
