The President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, forwarded a congratulatory letter to the President of the International Club of Joy and Quick-wit, President of the AMIK TV Company, Alexander Maslyakov on the occasion of the 45th Jubilee of the KVN television programme. The Azerbaijani Ambassador to Russia, Polad Bulbuloglu, presented the letter to the KVN announcer at the Azerbaijani Embassy in Moscow, Trend Special Correspondent in Moscow reports.
The letter stated that KVN has found a special place amongst the successful projects headed by Maslyakov and having been the long-term announcer of this program with 45 years, he became the true KVN man. In addition, the Ambassador stressed that the national leader of Azerbaijan, Heydar Aliyev, paid great attention to KVN and the present President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has continued this tradition.
Alexander Maslyakov expressed his warm gratitude to the Azerbaijani State Head and said I am very grateful to Ilham Aliyev for this attention and I am pleased to learn that KVN has been included as one of his interests. I hope that the tradition to watch KVN will continue under his leadership. I will not forget Heydar Aliyev and his warm attitude towards us. Some time ago we attended the super games in Baku and President Heydar Aliyev found the time to welcome us. We held long talks with regards to KVN. It was a pleasant surprise to receive such attention from the President.
The Azerbaijani Ambassador to Russia, Polad Bulbuloglu, invited Maslyakov to Azerbaijan, adding that his visit to Baku could foster the creation of a new Baku KVN team. The meeting at the Embassy was also attended by the Deputy of the Azerbaijani Parliament, former captain of the team Boys from Baku, Anar Mammadkhanov, Deputy Director General of ITAR-TASS, Mikhail Gusman, as well as Maslyakov's spouse Svetlana Maslyakov.
