Azerbaijan Consul General to Istanbul Urged Azerbaijan Students to Return Home After Obtaining Education

Sayyad Salakhli, Azerbaijan Consul General to Istanbul, met with Azerbaijan students studying in Izmir, the Azerbaijan Consul informed Trend.

He said that 300 Azerbaijani students obtain education in Izmir. The Consul visited the hall of residence of the students and discussed the importance of their return to the motherland after they graduate from the institute of higher education.

He also said that he touched the above-mentioned topic, due to high salaries that were promised to Azerbaijani students there. That makes Azerbaijanis to dwell in Turkey, and those are mainly students of medical faculties.

I told them that it is everyone's duty to obtain modern education and then return to the motherland. I explained them that the State spent funds on them. Their decision to live in Turkey is not a right position, said the Consul.

The Azerbaijan Consul also informed the students with processes going on in the country, and the developments in different fields.

Mr. Salakhli met with Yusif Ali Karaman, Deputy Head of the Izmir Municipality of Turkey, and asked him to render assistance to Azerbaijani students in the issue of fares to receive a lax card to trip within the City. The Consul said that our students spend $100 on fares every month, and that causes some problems. Mr. Salakhli asked the Turkish official to help the students in the issue on providing them with an appropriate job according to the rules being applied to local specialists. Especially it refers to those who are studying in residency status.
