Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev signed a decree On Call-Up to Military Service Staring from January 1, 2007 today (on December 19), Trend reports,
The document signed by the President envisages the call-up of those Azerbaijan males who were born in 1989 and reached the age of 18, as well as those who were born in 1972-1988, the persons to the age of 35, who have no right to be deferred from military service in Azerbaijan Army or any other alternative service. The period of the forthcoming call-up is January 1-20, 2007.
At the same time, in the period from January 1-20, 2007 , those soldiers, seamen, and sergeants who passed their military service in Azerbaijan Army in accordance with Bill of Azerbaijan republic On Call-Up, will be discharged to reserve.
