The Chairman of the Moscow Department of Russian Congress of Azerbaijanis (RCA), Ilgar Hajiyev, informed Trend that after the new law on migration came into force in Russia, Azerbaijanis who work in Russian Markets increased the price of goods sold.

He stressed that due to problems with registration, Azerbaijanis who work in Russian markets cannot participate in trade. According to the new law, only people with permanent registration in Russia are allowed to work as a seller in the market. Azerbaijanis create small enterprises and employ sellers under their control. Thus, they pay a salary to the sellers. Therefore, they have increased prices to cover additional expenditures. Several Azerbaijanis ceased trading activities and requested a permit to work in other fields, Hajiyev said.

He stressed that a Migration Fund has been created in Moscow to prevent the unemployment of Azerbaijanis who live in Russia without permanent registration. The Fund researches jobs and helps Azerbaijanis in this process.
