300km of Azerbaijan-Georgia State Border Co-ordinated – Chair of State Committee on Lands

Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend , corr E.Huseynli / A 300-km section of the 480km length state border between Azerbaijan and Georgia has been co-ordinated.

Garib Mammadov, the Chairman of the State Committee on Land and Cartography, reported that at present 12 sections in the territory are still to be co-ordinated. The next meeting of the intergovernmental state commission on delimitation and demarcation will be held in Tbilisi. By the next meeting the Azerbaijani and Georgia experts will develop maps related to the unco-ordinated sections.

Mammadov stressed that intensive work is carried out to co-ordinate the 50-60 hectare area in the territory of the Balakan district located in the border of Azerbaijan, Georgia and Russia.
