Azerbaijan, Baku / corr. Trend K.Zarbaliyev / The State Border Service of Azerbaijan (SBS) refuted information regarding closing borders between Azerbaijan and Iran. The Chief of the SBS Coast Guard, Ilham Mehdiyev, briefed the media on April 4th that the information regarding closing borders has no grounds. According to Mr. Mehdiyev, there are no serious problems between the frontier guards of Azerbaijan and Iran and any minor problems were resolved through discussions between relevant departments of the two countries. Mehdiyev said that even if the USA begins military actions against Iran, there will be no problems on the Azerbaijani-Iranian borders.
