Azerbaijan, Baku/ Trend , corr. E. Husseynli/ Eldar Azizov, the Head of the Executive Power of Ganja City, has refuted the recent information on his appointment as Mayor of Baku City. He said that he did not want to become the Mayor of the Azerbaijani Capital. "I have worked as the Head of the Executive Power of Ganja City for five years, and consider myself a Ganjali (a Ganja city resident)," said Mr. Azizov.
Answering questions put by journalists, he noted that he had reinforced the control over school principals of Ganja City in order to prevent any negative cases. Monitorings are currently being undertaken in contemporary general education schools of the Azerbaijani Education Ministry in Ganja City. According to the Ganja Mayor, favourable conditions are created for those principals who build their activity on new principals. He also added that three school principals had been discharged from their posts in Ganja last year.
