Azerbaijan, Baku / corr. Trend S.Agayeva / Yashar Aliyev, Azerbaijani Ambassador to Vietnam, reported on 11 April that the Azerbaijani Foreign Minister, Elmar Mammadyarov, has been invited on an official visit to Vietnam. The invitation was presented during the official visit of a Vietnamese Foreign Ministry's official delegation to Azerbaijan. The Ambassador announced that the Deputy Azerbaijan Foreign Minister, Khalaf Khalafov, received the Vietnamese delegation.
The talks focused on consultations on different aspects of foreign policy of the two countries, prospects to develop the economic and humanitarian co-operation, opportunities of mutual visits to further develop cooperation, the diplomat stated.
The delegation will be the first Vietnamese Foreign Ministry's official delegation to visit Azerbaijan. They will attend meetings at the Oil Academy of Azerbaijan and will familiarise themselves with the education system at the universities.
