Azerbaijan, Baku / corr Trend S.Agayeva / Shahin Abdullayev., the Azerbaijani Ambassador to Kuwait, reported by telephone on 1 May that issues on the development of political, economic and culture relationships between Azerbaijan and Kuwait will be discussed in Baku during the official visit of the Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Sheik Muhammad al-Sabah which is scheduled for 8-9 May in reply to the Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov's visit paid to Kuwait in January 2007.
The Kuwaiti minister plans to hold several meetings in Baku with the Azerbaijan officials. Though the itinerary of the visit is still being finalised, the minister is expected to meet with his Azerbaijani counterpart to consider a range of issues on the upgrade of cooperation.
"Political relationships between Azerbaijan and Kuwait are on high level and it is necessary to expand economic bonds, which is the focus of the foreign minister at the talks," Abdullayev noted.
During the visit there are no plans to sign any documents by either party.
